Wild Ward's
"Pickup Trike"
.Here are pictures of
my Pick-up Trike. It's finished for now. This winter I'm going to build
a rear bumper out of 1" tubing, about a 6" radius on each end going from
outside to outside of the box. We think the cast iron seat is from a horse-drawn
plow or hay rake. The shocks under the seat give the trike a decent ride.
It's better than the padded seat on the "Wolf". With the raked front end
and the 4 degree raked triple trees, we added the stablizer to help stabilize
the front end, especially in the curves! I put the "old" brake pedal on
the left side as a step on so my right foot could clear the corner post
of the bed when I'm getting up on the bike. Check out how the Harley master
cylinder hooked to my old drum brake foreward control. A special thanks
to Drummer, Dabo, and Neal for their rear fenders, that I welded together
for the rear fenders. I used Harley Sportster rear drum brake hubs, that
bolted to the adapters that I had made. I had to have matching spoke
wheels!!! Everything else is from my earlier chop.... the "Wolf".
